International Spanish Program for Professionals in Health Sciences

About the Program

This course has been designed for students who are basic users of the Spanish language (novice-high level, according to ACTFL framework) and want to significantly improve their oral communication skills and knowledge of health  practices in Spanish-speaking countries.

In this course, students directly interact with patients of all ages as we use these experiences to enrich our inside-the-classroom activities. All language aspects (grammar, syntax, pragmatics, lexicon, phonology, semantics) are developed and improved using the outside-the-classroom experiences. The teaching-learning methodology of the course is competency-based; learning tasks and assignments are creative, meaningful and varied.
