Department of Student Life-Division of Student Support (D.A.E for its name in Spanish)

The Department of Student Life- Student Support Division (D.A.E for its name in Spanish) is the institutional entity in charge of promoting the integral development of students at Universidad Santa Paula, providing all those support alternatives in all fields for their educational permanence and coexistence. 

This department facilitates the dialogue between the student community and the other university instances, so that the learner finds options to solve the needs faced by all students at some point in their formation, or when they enter the world of work. 

Student Life offers a series of supports: socioeconomic, human development, promotion and orientation, with the purpose of enlivening the sense of belonging and identity of the student towards the institution. 

Mission and vision

To promote the integral development of the student of the Universidad Santa Paula; offering all those alternatives of SUPPORT in all the fields for their development, coexistence and full formation as professionals. 

To centralize the greatest amount of Promotions and Student Services, with the purpose of turning their university life into a quality experience, prior to their incursion in the labor field. 

Socio-economic care

General Objective 

Grant scholarships to students who require them and who comply with the respective regulations. 

Specific Objectives 

– Determine in conjunction with the University’s higher authorities the annual budget for scholarships. 

– Approve scholarship awards in coordination with other DAE bodies. 

Specific objectives 

  • Determine together with the higher authorities of the University the annual budget for scholarships.
  • Approve the award of scholarships in coordination with other instances of the DAE.

General Objective 

To provide financial support to students with special circumstances in order to facilitate their vocational training. 

Specific Objectives 

– Carry out student activities to raise money, trying to provide solutions or palliatives to situations encountered (bingos, sales, dispensers, table football, piggy banks, raffles, health fairs, among others). 

– Budget review. 

– Identify students in special situations. 

– Approve the awards of grants requested through a brief interview and established form.
